We've lived here a year and I can't believe how long it has taken us to try this place. It's great. We got the family special. It comes with soup, multiple appetizers, fried rice, fried shrimp and a couple of entrees to share. We opted for the one with "Happy Family", a veggie and meat dish that was great. Ended up with so much food that we had to bring home three boxes. Paid 15.50 per person plus tip. Not bad at all. Go there. Try it. You'll like it.

Do not eat here. The food was served cold, it did not taste right, and the manger is rude when you bring it to his attention. He cornered my friend when we explained that we weren’t going to pay for food we didn’t eat. After two bites each it was enough to feel sick. Promise you you’re not missing out. Terrible service, terrible food, and a dirty restaurant.

I absolutely wish they were here! I miss their food so much I practically have nightmares that I will not have a chance to eat here again.If I was craving Chinese food on my death bed, I would ask for Zhen's! They also gave such amazing portions that I left with a full grocery bag almost every time I ordered for two.LOVE THIS PLACE!

Our favorite Chinese Restaurant in Columbia County, between Scappoose and St. Helens, Oregon. Excellent customer, large portions of food, exceptional varieties of food choices. Also offer take-home menu as well.

The staff here is always friendly, the portion size is generous and the food is delicious. Food is usually ready in 20 min for call in orders.

Food made my friend throw up. And food came out cold and once we complained they said we still had to pay even though I food was barely touched. Worst service the witness took 30 mins while the place was not busy. Worst Chinese food in my life.Do Not Eat.

The food used to be really good. I went there the other day and ordered the lunch special to go. When I got home and opened the carton it was so gross. The sweet and sour sauce was all over the rice and under the egg Foo young. The egg Foo young gravy was mixed in with the rice too. And all mixed in with the sweet and sour. If you're one of those people that mixes your food together before you eat it, it's right up your Alley! I'm not one of those people!

Ugh where to begin. IDK what this is but that's not chow mein. The egg foo yung is lacking in egg seems to be held together by breading or something. IDK what they did to the egg roll...they look deep fried from a carnival. The crab cream cheese puffs while ok had no flavor of crab to discern. Both almond fried chicken and sweet and sour chicken super dried out. Very dissatisfied and disappointed, will not be going back. ....oh and the sauce .....like what is going on here

Zhen's is a quaint restaurant with amazing food! My wife and I both loved the hot sour soup and she never orders it. We ordered chicken fried rice and general tso's chicken (spicy) and crab puffs. Everything was delicious and generous helpings. We will definitely go back!!!

I would say this is typical Chinese-American fare. Fairly inexpensive, lots of food served, the normal combos and complimentary tea.The decor is definitely dated, and the staff is never what you might term warm and friendly. But they do their job and don't pester you to make conversation.One time on a particularly busy late afternoon, our to go order was clearly food that had been sitting around all afternoon, right before they probably threw it out to ready the dinner service. But aside from that, it's usually fresh and tasty, nothing frilly, and no attempts to do anything unique to your favorite Chinese-American food staples.Food is usually really quick to arrive too.

I would give them 5 stars if they give me the same amount of food that I usually order but different employee with smaller portions of food for some reason.

Best Chinese food in Columbia countyThat being said the ambiance inside the restaurant not the best. Or better described as simple.If you're looking for more of a bar scene I would go to bings which is a Chinese restaurant about a mile away.if you're looking for fantastic Chinese food though you can't go wrong here everything is amazing the staff is attentive and everything is available to go so the ambience is of little consideration.cannot express how much better do Chinese food is here then so many other restaurants not just through Columbia county but through the greater Portland area.Might be a small hole-in-the-wall place but they have fantastic cooks and great staff

They do a nice job there. Well established. Food generally fresh and comes out hot! Very good tea👍 Huge portions-leftovers! Food is not the healthiest, but my hubby loves Chinese. Just choose carefully. I don't recommend going during busy time. Bldg is typically cold, very small (no ambiance) but cozy. Just a good weeknight take out or dine in.

Love this restaurant! I have been eating there for years. The portions are large and the price is reasonable. Very traditional and delicious food and the environment is peaceful. The service is good and the staff is very friendly. Great for lunch and dinner!
